Hey! I’m Lisa, a wife and homeschool mom from New York. From a young age my parents taught me a love for travel since my dad’s job took us all over the country. By the age of eight years old I had visited thirty-nine different states in the US, as well as Canada, Israel, and, of course, Disney World! Since then, I have continued to see some pretty incredible places over the course of my life so far, including now a total of 43 states in the US, as well as other destination abroad that include Spain, France, Italy, Ireland, an additional visit to Israel, Egypt, Gibraltar, Portugal and many of the Caribbean islands. Despite all of those amazing experiences, I just can’t get over my love of all things Disney travel!
My Disney World love began at the age of three years old and I haven’t looked back yet. Since then, I have visited Disney World more times than I can count, staying at fourteen different Disney World resorts- from a campsite rental at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds as a child to concierge level at the Grand Floridian for my 30th Birthday. I have visited Disney World with friends and family on every budget and every travel style- both with kids in tow or as an adult only adventure. In addition to all of my Disney World fun over the years, I have also cruised with Disney Cruise Line for a total of nine cruises- from a 3-day Bahamas cruise to a 14-day transatlantic cruise and everything in between. I have also visited Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii, Disneyland California, Disneyland Paris, and in May 2020 I will be visiting Tokyo Disney.
In addition to all of my Disney travel and other land vacations already mentioned, I have also sailed with Norwegian Cruise Line nine times – including sailing around the Hawaiian islands after a relaxing stay at Disney’s Aulani Resort. I have enjoyed a cruise with Princess Cruise Lines, a stay at Sandals Grande Antigua, and many other fun destinations!
Reading this, you can easily see that travel is my passion, but another passion of mine is the food I enjoy while I’m at these awesome vacation destinations – and not just eating it, but writing about it. My social media posts on the “Disney Foodies” Facebook page got so much attention this past fall that I was actually named “Disney Foodie of the Month” for September 2019, as well as “Disney Foodie of the Year” for 2019- something I didn’t even know was a possibility! I was just having fun eating ALL of the Disney World snacks and writing about it! I now wear that title with pride…right around my waistline, unfortunately. Apparently, spending six weeks at Disney World while your husband is in Orlando on business is not the best thing for your overall health. Who would have thought? Three moths later and I’m still trying to lose the weight. It was worth it.
Just like most people, I love to travel. Even more than that, however, I love to plan travel. There’s nothing quite like the excitement of planning the next trip and I’d love to help you do that as well!
