Amy Kowalczyk
Hi, I’m Amy — travel planner, lifelong learner, and firm believer that travel should feel as good as it looks.
I grew up in southern Michigan and northwestern Ohio and graduated from Bowling Green State University before moving to Charlotte, North Carolina, to begin my teaching career. I spent 20 years in the classroom as a middle school math teacher, and for the past 23 years I’ve been married to my husband, my favorite travel companion. We now live in rural western North Carolina, where we enjoy wide-open space for our rescue pets: cats and Great Danes — while staying close enough to the Charlotte airport to keep exploring the world.
Travel has always been one of my greatest passions and my favorite form of learning. I deeply believe in learning by doing, and experiencing new places firsthand — their history, culture, food, and pace of life — has shaped how I see the world. Europe, in particular, continues to call us back for its richness, beauty, and slower, more intentional way of living.
Over time, my love of travel naturally evolved into travel planning. With a background rooted in organization, problem-solving, and clear communication, I thrive on creating well-paced, thoughtfully designed trips that allow people to truly enjoy the experience — without stress or second-guessing. I specialize in elevated travel for couples, empty nesters, and retirees, with a focus on European itineraries, cruises, all-inclusive resorts, and unforgettable international adventures. My travel philosophy is simple: travel at the peak of what you can afford. Thoughtful upgrades, smart planning, and attention to detail turn a good trip into a truly memorable one.
