Are you ready for an adventure?!! I am Alana and if there’s two things you need to know about me, it’s that I love cheering on the Wisconsin Badger basketball team and planning Disney vacations! Until recently, that meant trips for me and my beautiful family, including a handsome husband who often travels for work, and three gorgeous children ages 10, 8 and 7.We live in Madison, Wisconsin but enjoy the chance to get away and explore the world–especially DisneyWorld! Now, I help families like yours plan their next Disney getaway.
Obviously, I was born into the Badger basketball fandom, but how did I fall in love with Disney? It all centers on family, really. Some of my favorite memories from childhood involve the wide world of Disney! From trips with grandparents to DisneyWorld to unforgettable Disneyland trips (while celebrating Wisconsin Badger Football games at the Rose Bowl!) to Sunday nights at home watching the “Wonderful World of Disney” movies with my family–my love of Disney runs deep.
So in 2016, when I planned a multi-generational DisneyWorld trip with my own children and extended family, I was hooked. While vacation planning might feel like a long, hard task for some, I relished the experience. The work of pulling together dining, FastPasses, lodging, flights and even some pixie dust for 12 people flying in from around the country was no small feat. But it was all worth it to experience one of the most magical vacations with all the people I love most!
By trade, I’m an educator who prides myself on being a lifelong learner. I’ve been a middle and high school teacher, a Principal, and currently work as an instructional coach for educators. I also teach group fitness which allows me to “flex” those teaching skills in a different environment. I’m thrilled to join the Pixie team and add “Travel planner” to my resume. I can’t wait to share my skills and passion for travel with you.
